Kate Gilliland is the jewellery designer who makes all the slightly weird but lovable  curiosities on this site. She works from a shared workshop, in Birmingham's historic jewellery quarter.

A wondrous piece of wearable natural history, immortalised in precious metal. Kate’s Jewellery designs preserve a little piece of the past for the future, each delicate piece sparks your imagination with fantastical tales. The treasured animals in her jewellery are found already dead, by Kate or friends, from foraging in the British woodland to finding nature in the urban landscape, every animal with their own story. She encourages you to see the tiny detail and beauty in these beautiful little animals.
